Update from Pastor Yvel

Greetings to all our supporters!

We are so happy to be connected with you for a good cause. A great part of our ministry sits down on your shoulders. The Lord is thinking of you for all kinds of help you provide to His people particularly in Haiti where life is really hard. We are not living here, we are surviving under pressure of bandits, shootings by gangs of people on the buses, watching human bodies burning in the streets … All those calamities added every day to our extreme poverty. God wants peace and joy for human beings and we are so far from them. We are not living.

Thank you for supporting our ministry with your money!

Christmas is approaching! It is the time of sharing. God shows His love to entire humanity by a special gift through His only Son. He wants the best for everybody. We cannot benefit this best condition of life wanted by God on the earth at this time.

It is Christmas time many children around us and in our churches are hungry and cannot receive a gift. Many of them are sleeping in public parks without a meal. Some others are engaged by armed gangs to become killers.

Each cent you send to us for the ministry in Haiti is important.  It will provide to feed hungry people, to help children going to school, to take care of widow men and women.  God shared Jesus with us like a precious gift, I invite you to share with us through your possessions.

Pray with us for peace to return in our poor country.  We are so tired with troubled days passed here.

We keep praying for you, asking God for His full protection and blessings upon you and your family.

Merry Christmas to you!

Friendly yours,

JEAN YVEL CALIXTE.

See in these pictures some of feeding program we have done to help hungry people.

Note from Pastor Terry Major

As you read this month’s update, I want you to know that I try to leave as much of the grammar and structure Pastor Yvel uses as possible, but I do edit the letter for clarity as needed.

If you are reading the news, you know that the gangs are still pushing their control to outside of Port au Prince. Carrefour has been surrounded and the gangs are working their way into Leogane. Pastor Yvel and the mission house are still safe, but they urgently need our prayers and financial help. The government is not having great success in taking back the country from the gangs.

Support for widows, orphans and the homeless is a growing and ongoing expense for the Mission. Where schools are still able to operate paying teachers a living wage and helping students with tuition is still needed. Helping with medical and other expenses falls on the leadership of the churches as well, and they take care of that through their weekly tithes and offerings to the best of their ability.

I deposit gifts to Bank of America on behalf of the Mission. I send deposits once a month and then email the Mission all the information regarding specific designations and amounts.

Gifts that need a tax receipt need to be sent to DM Stearns Missionary Fund, PO Box 1578, North Wales, PA 19454. (Canadian gifts to: Pastor Brubacher, 7180 Hwy 64 E, Monetville, ON, P0M 2K0, Canada)

(Any special gifts for Ghislaine Louis can be sent directly to her at: 1261 NW 56th Avenue, Lauderhill, FL 33313.)
